wonderful 4 x nights at The Cavalta

what a perfect choice we made in the Cavalta boutique hotel in the wonderful, authentic area of Triana, and just a 20 min easy stroll over the river into Downtown. The breakfasts were fabulous, as was the restaurant and the wonderful addition of a rooftop lounging area with a bar and a pool were a perfect relief for tired legs and 28 degree sunshine. We were fortunate enough to even be given a room upgrade to a Suite which was very lucky. However with just 12 rooms, the biggest compliment we must give were to the brilliant staff.... they were polite, attentive and really helpful with advice and recommendations also. For such a boutique hotel, there was plenty of staff around and it made for a perfect break where we felt spoilt and treated.

Hidden gem in Seville

Spent five nights in this delightful find in the very 'Spanish' area of Triana in Seville. Totally authentic yet 5 minutes stroll to downtown. Attention to detail in the hotel was obvious. The home baked and locally sourced breakfast was relaxed and first class. Dinner was fine quality indeed with an extensive, interesting and fairly priced wine list. WOW! This place is truly amazing. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They booked tickets for us to see the Cathedral and Alcázar, and also made reservations for us to see an incredible flamenco show down the street. The neighborhood is not in city center as others have mentioned, but it’s a lovely, trendy area with great restaurants all around. Staying away from the crowded city center was a very welcome relief for us and the location was perfect. It’s about a 20 minute very scenic walk to all of the attractions. The pool/bar on the third floor was great and it was nice to be able to relax there in the hot afternoon after a long day. Some guests mentioned the bathroom- it is an open concept so the washroom is open, there are glass doors for the toilet and shower areas. It wasn’t an issue for us as you can just leave the room if it bothers you and someone needs privacy. I wouldn’t let this stop you from booking this hotel. 10 out of 10. So happy we stayed here.

Best experience in Seville

The nicest experience in Seville! After visiting many hotels in Sevilla over the years, I decided to go to the other side of the bridge, finding this new opportunity in Triana. The hotel has been designed with many innovative touches. It is located on a one-way street (San Jacinto) that has local traffic (before it becomes a pedestrian one, a few blocks towards the bridge), but the hotel has excellent noise-proof windows, and the room was very quiet. This is an old building, and all the rooms are probably quite different. We had one with a Juliette balcony, just big enough to stand. You could watch the locals coming and going on San Jacinto, with a view on some beautiful trees. The rooms are completely renovated, and every detail showed the intent to provide a great experience for the travelers. Hot water fluctuates a little as can be expected in an old building, and the open glass-door design for the bathroom side could be slightly more closed so that you could put the lights on in the bathroom in the night without waking up your partner. This was, however, a room that had one of the best feelings of any of the hotel rooms that I have seen. We appreciated the exceptionally nice welcome by Alejandro. It made us feel that we had arrived in a luxury hotel. Overall, a very positive experience. At the end of November, this was excellent value for money. Of the 200+ hotels I have seen, this is in top-3 for a nice holiday, worldwide.
