I had no complaints about Hotel Centrale. It was well located yet quiet. The lobby was lovely and the breakfast was expansive and delicious. Had I not stayed at two smaller facilities earlier in my trip (where the hospitality was truly warm and personal), I might have rated this hotel more highly. It was just a more “corporate“ hotel experience. Staff was very professional and courteous - it just felt a bit more impersonal.

I loved this room, with the great view of the Duomo. Room was clean and well tended every day. Very quiet. Each room is named after a famous artist, such as Michelangelo and Raffaello and Piero della Francesca. The breakfast was outstanding, with cold cuts and cheese, cereal, eggs if you wanted them, pastries and bread, lots of fresh fruit. Plus cafe of any kind, in an attractive room with helpful staff. The best part was how pleasant,courteous and accommodating the staff all were. Best hotel I've ever stayed at, and I'd go back in a second, as the location is also excellent.

The location is great. The room is quiet. The staffs are friendly. However, the elevator is tiny and slow. The toilet and sink in the bathroom are way too high. There is no bidet in the bathroom. Even so, its price is very reasonable for its location. If I ever visit Florence again, I might consider booking this hotel again.

Beautiful Hotel in the Heart of Florence

I love this hotel, the location is perfect and the view from our room was lovely. The rooms are grand and have wonderful high ceilings, and the whole place is very grand old Florence. The buffet breakfast provided every morning is beautiful and the staff at breakfast are so delightful, welcoming and kind. The lift is very tiny and as I don't like small spaces I walked up the grand stairs every day. Bella!

Nice welcome with a guide book, very useful. Good view of Medici Chapel too. Good location, nice room. Tiny lift, just fit 2 persons and luggage, breakfast poor. The breakfast room very small, freezing air conditioning at side of room making any hot food cold, getting English breakfast tea was like pulling teeth! Asked every day, eventually git one on last day- day 4! Been to cheaper hotels in Italy with much better set up and friendlier staff.

Property is very old, the elevator is extremely small and slow and takes forever to get to your floor. We ended up taking the 3 stories of stairs to get to our room. Very basic in the rooms, not luxury at all however they were clean and had all the basics you would need. Lobby is very basic as well. Staff is very nice and helpful, called for taxis for us and answered all our questions. Great location, super close to Duomo and 10 min walk to the Uffizi and Academia. Breakfast buffet was awful, did not eat anything from it. Overall, the hotel needs some updates including the elevator and breakfast options along with updating the bathrooms in the rooms and the lobby but it was clean and convenient. Would not stay again.
