Honestly it was a nice little place. Beautiful scenery. The only thing that upset me was the lack of communication (there was no obvious hours of operation and absolutely no one to communicate with on the days they are apparently closed) The only reason we knew the office was closed is an extremely helpful maid, we didn't even know what room we were in without her help. She honestly saved us from just driving away and finding another place to stay.

We spent 2 nights during the Victoria Day long weekend for a family fishing trip. It has been a long winter with the ice just melt so fishing was not too successful. We did not use their canoe or kayak as we had our own boat. The staff were friendly and professional. I removed 1 star because the onsite restaurant does not open on Sundays and Mondays. The kitchen has pots/pans/dishes but lacks utensils and the oven does not work (unless it has a unique way to turn it on, I couldn't figure it out). The water pumped from the lake smells but they have the water from the filtration system that was fine. I will recommend the place and can see myself staying there again. I just have to manage my expectations.

The cabin was clean and cozy, right on the beach. Staff was welcoming (young gentleman who recently started, as he said), gave us very good info about the resort and the activities available. Dog friendly (please call ahead!). Coffee machine did not work, so giving 4 stars. Would definitely stay again if in the area.
