The room appeared and bed was lovely but bathroom a little sad, also fount some rubbish from a previous guest in there The team were friendly, I didn’t manage to get the time to go to breakfast. No turn down service on the 2nd day unfortunately and tea tray was limited but had tea which was the priority.

Room and decor fabulous

The check in was fast and friendly, the room is lovely, with a nice view. There was quite a lot of noise from the street below early in the morning and the church bells were regular throughout the night. The breakfast was a good amount but lukewarm spolt the vibe. The price we paid , i think was high for this standard.

"2 night stay

Stayed for 2 nights nice welcome first day. Breakfast was poor, eggs hard, bread soggy think had been prepared a while in advance. Ate in hotel first night food was fine. Second day asked for heating to be turned down as thermostats not working, then no heat at all.

I stayed 3 nights with my parents while visiting Cragside and other parts of Northumberland and the Queen's Head was a good base. The rooms were clean and tidy and had a good selection of teas and coffees. They weren't cleaned during our stay but that wasn't an issue for such a short stay - extra supplies including towels were available as needed. There was off-road parking behind, and the one meal we had in the restaurant was enjoyed by all. Staff were all friendly, and the breakfast choices were all good. Very happy with our choice!

The accommodation was very good (except for the window which needs some attention), the en-suite was excellent. Both the evening meal and the breakfast were excellent. We can't see what some of the other reviewers found wrong with the breakfast. It was freshly cooked to order, delivered by a very pleasant young lady. All the staff we encountered were equally so. Excellent location on the main street.

Disappointed

The room was acceptable, the breakfast the first morning included a burnt tomato and burnt fried egg. The tables were not laid and there was no one to help. No proper fruit juice and no fresh fruit. Very poor. It improved the next morning.

Premises very much in need of lots of TLC. Twin rooms cramped and right on the top floor, accessible only via several flights of rather steep stairs. There is no lift. The beds however are very comfortable. Small Shower cubicle with plentiful hot water. Unfortunately the temperature control was stuck solid on hot There are no evening meals on Mondays and Tuesdays. Breakfast menu very limited, Full English, Eggs Benedict, Toast or American Pancakes with Maple syrup. No cereal or fruit, just orange juice, tea or coffee. The Breakfast lady was very pleasant and very helpful with her local knowledge. Overall not impressed and won't be returning until premises and facilities improve

Just enjoyed a great weekend break at The Queen’s Head in Rothbury. Room was spotless and good to have a separate shower cubicle too. Plenty of sockets and a lovely light up mirror in the bathroom Bed and pillows were really comfortable. Staff were friendly and very helpful and a super breakfast was a bonus. My only wish was a fan to cool us and the room down Would certainly recommend The Queens Head to anyone visiting Rothbury
