We had a lovely time in this heritage accommodation. Our host Sophie was welcoming, delightful and helpful. The property has plenty of character with art in every corner, a library, sitting room and a large garden. Dinner was delicious and good value. The beach is just across the road.

Our stay at Hawley House was one of the most superb we can remember anywhere. Sophie was very welcoming and obliging - an all-round excellent hostess. Quality accommodation in well-cared-for but still very warm and homely environment. Fantastic views and easy access to both bush and beach make Hawley House very hard to beat. Hope to stay again in future, and for a longer period next time.

The grounds are amazing! Lake, garden, flowers, amazing beach, mountains, view, sunrise, birds. The owner takes very great care of the guests. Bonus: bathtub on the roof! What could be improved: property could use some upgrades.

The staff were super friendly and very helpful and very interesting property. I would stay again if driving a car. The grounds and parking are very limiting for motorcycle travellers unless on adventure or dirtbike. There is no keeping your bikes up near you room and the gravel was quite deep and loose. Very difficult to manoeuvre and load and unload your bikes while travelling you wouldn’t want to go out for a bite to eat and venture home in the dark.

The place was amazing. It has an old world charm but the bed was extremely comfy. I had the most amazing sleep. Plus an amazing continental breakfast. Yum. Well worth a visit or to do a wedding ceremony there. They also have the 3 beautiful and loving big dogs that walk around with the native animals. The dogs are so gentle. The peacocks and other birds are amazing The ocean can be seen from the property but it us only a short walk to a beautiful beach that a lot of people walk their dogs. Love to go again
