Very helpful

We stayed two nights as a stop over on the way further down into Italy. The reception staff was very friendly and helpful. They came up with a lot of suggestions what we could do with our kids.

Good location but bad service and standardrooms

Superior suite was tidy and great. Location is good -just at the foot of some shorter and longer trekkings. Service at and the breakfast was 1/5. Général tip : don’t eat here go into the small village or any of the other hotels.

The property appearance was beautifully presented, the room was tastefully presented and clean but limited in space as was the bathroom. The restaurant had a limited menu and the food was disappointing with spicy ribs with no spice or sauce at all and raviolli which arrived as tortellini with little taste and when raised with staff they said their raviolli was different to the rest of the world which given they knew it would have been helpful to mention. The bar was closed in the afternoon which was disappointing.

Reception staff could have been more professional. Bar staff were excellent, nothing was an issue for them. We had no view from our room as the window was set at the top of the room. Had a look at the hotel layout, seems like our room was one of the smallest rooms. There was a metal beam which ran diagonally across the room - not ideal for tall guests. No TV and receptionist was unable to fix this. Breakfast area was cramped, with a queue waiting for coffee from a machine. Breakfast was continental style and there was plenty on offer. I have stayed here before and despite the cramped breakfast area, I enjoyed the stay. I now would think twice about staying here or at least request a room on first or second floors. Parking is available.

Decent stay, not great rooms.

The common areas are great, clean, tidy, beautiful. The hotel has great views and is located within walking distance of the etroubles town which is a beautiful little italian town. The food is also good quality. The rooms though are not good, uncomfortable beds, dated rooms throughout and the bathrooms are old and not as clean as i would have expected.

PRICE GOUGING!!!! I was charged $300 for one person/one night for a room the size of a closet because there was only one room left. The next day -- the same room -- was $95!!!! The hotel is fine, but it is NOT a $300 a night hotel. Triple the price??? Crazy.
This is not a $300 a night hotel room. Perfectly fine for their usual price of $95-$110 a night....but $300??? Doesn't seem right to charge that amount.

The property is well located and offers enough parking spots. There is also a supermarket just beside the hotel. The restaurant offers some good range of meals but not as good as local trattoria. The building is old and therefore there some issues like lack of sound proof wall and doors, hard mattress, and a very small shower cabin. It is overpriced for what it is offering (though I need to admit I had a last minute booking in high season). The goods are the staff, breakfast and the cleanness

Overall the hotel was old fashioned and a little tired. The room was ok but the bed lumpy and uncomfortable. The staff on check-in, dinner, and breakfast were great. The woman on the desk at checkout was channelling her inner Sybil Fawlty and carried on, what appeared to be, a private phone conversation whilst trying to process the checkout. We were offered to look at an upgraded room, at a price, when we arrived, but chose to stay with our original choice so the other room may have been better.

Very disappointing – I will never return The arrival was fine, and the receptionist spoke English. From that point on, however, none of the staff understood English, German or French, making even basic communication almost impossible. The restaurant service was extremely poor and completely disorganised. A planned three-course meal took two hours, and the waiting staff seemed to have no idea what was happening. The following morning, I was not even registered for breakfast. The staff member repeatedly asked whether I was more than one person, even though I clearly explained that I was still the only person staying in my room. The room was also extremely poorly soundproofed. I could hear conversations in both neighbouring rooms as though the guests were sitting beside me, and every sound from their bathrooms came straight through the walls. Overall, a very unpleasant and disappointing stay. I will never return to this hotel.
