A large clean air conditioned room, access by lift with very helpful staff. The decoration was a little tired but acceptable and a good historic building. Parking in the public car park was not ideal. Limited evening meal menu but good breakfast.

Really pleased with the accommodation we were offered. The room was clean, large and with comfy beds and tea- and coffee-making facilities. The surrounding area is incredibly quiet, so good sleep is guaranteed. We didn't have breakfast but, judging from the delicious smell and the nice breakfast room where it is served, it must be a good deal. A big thank-you to the receptionist, who really went the extra mile to guide us up to the parking.

The hotel was excelleb=nt as usual especially breakfast. One downside was that the restaurant was closed despite the menu being on a board outside the restaurant. The only brasserie was closed. Luckily we met three wonderful Irish ladies who directed and sheparded us to a "hole in the wall" pizza maschine. The pizza was excellent and we shall certainly be booking this hotel again but checking restaurant is open at reception

What a shame this grand hotel has been allowed to fall into disrepair. While all the staff were lovely and the rooms quite comfortable the condition of the property was a disgrace. Crumbling facades, rusting railings, faded carpet and flooring that is broken and loose. It feels like the owners have spent loads of money in fancy gaming machines and little on maintaining the building fabric. This hotel could be amazing but it will need serious money spent to bring it back to anything worth a visit.
