Our stay was OK, I was expecting better after reading other reviews. The rooms were VERY dated, the lift wasn’t working, the pool was pretty dirty. The fridge had a leg falling off which felt dangerous and the window had no safety feature on it so it felt very unsafe with the children. The shower was good as was the food.

We used the hotel as a stop before heading further south. Conveniently located close to the autoroute and the centre of Le Mans. The staff were really friendly even with me trying to speak broken French. We didn’t eat dinner in the hotel but we did eat breakfast which was utterly superb. Lots of pastries, fresh fruit, cereal and cheese. The only very minor point would be the cleanliness of the room. It wasn’t disgusting by any stretch of the imagination but could have done with a bit more attention particularly in the toilet area. Lovely hotel and would stay again.

Hotel room contained items from previous guest including shower gels and jewellery (handed to receptionist). Bathroom clean and bed freshly made. No complaints there. Novotel generally of d high standard with a pool and a good restaurant in a quiet area of south LeMans with private parking . However lift was out of order, stairwell was incredibly smelly and room was quite smelly. Breakfast service was a lower standard than usual with slow table clearing service even at the end of the breakfast period. There is an amazing bakery La Feuilette about half a mile from the hotel providing alternatives to the paid for breakfast. Novotels normally high standards were slipping a bit on this occasion, but on balance still a great stopover midway between southern France and Calais Eurotunnel.

Generally good. But the electric car charging facilities were very poor. Firstly they looked dangerous/ out of action and secondly they didn’t have commonly used plug sockets. The nearest alternative chargers are a long way away, which was extremely inconvenient. I won’t stay again unless they upgrade their electric chargers.

Don’t eat here if you have allergies

The worst place have ever eaten as a coeliac. Daughter was given ‘penne’ as a gluten free meal. It wasn’t a gluten free version. Some staff were doing their best to help and clearly hasn’t been given any training on allergies. One member of staff (and the allergen menu) said chips were gf, the next member of staff said they were not. Do not eat here if you have allergies. The staff were lovely and just doing their best.

Nice place for a stop on the way through France. Outdoor pool and play area was great for kids! Seems everyone else had the same idea! Restaurant gets booked up quickly and we struggled to eat due to delays getting to the hotel with the now inevitable immigration delays at Caen port. Uber Eats to the hotel was a saviour. Breakfast on the other hand was utterly appalling. Came down at 0830 to find the buffet completely devoid of food and the staff very slow to react and stock up. Even then it was limited. Not sure what the issue was that a breakfast advertised to 10am was lacking 90 mins before that. If they sorted out the food and drink issues at this hotel, it would be a much better experience for all guests.

Travelling with children. Failed to respond to x4 messages sent to hotel prior to arrival, including request for a cot. Arrived at night time. No cot. 1.5 year old slept in bed with me and fell out out bed during the night. Told staff in the morning who didn't seem too bothered. Quite old, tatty hotel. Not good value. Would not return. EV charger is slow, rated at 11kw but only provided 3kw to my car. Unless you have a 3 phase compatible EV charger you will also get slow charge.
