Nice setting. The room was clean. The staff was helpful and pleasant. The breakfast was good with hot and cold options. The downsides which are not the fault of the Spring House Inn, was that the most direct route to the hotel was closed due to a bridge being rebuilt and there were train noises throughout the night which made it hard to sleep.

The property was very nice and enjoyed an evening fire at the swings. Our room was clean but had a terrible smell every time you walked in. Luckily after a few minutes you couldn't smell it until you entered the room again. Overall, we would go back if we were in the area.

It is a quaint hotel with a lot of antiques and history. The room was clean with comfortable beds and plenty of space. The room could use a little touching up, such as chips in paint and on doors. The grounds are wooded and a very pretty setting. The continental breakfast was fine.

The pool and sauna were a wonderful perk and well-maintained. The place would be beautiful if they didn't have an overly large parking lot and chunks of concrete where the woods should be if this were truly a 'woodsy' retreat as they advertise. They could go a long way to improve the woods around their area.

It’s was a nice quiet stay. The balcony view of the forest was very calming, nice scenic view. The room was spacious and comfortable to relax after long day on the beach. Breakfast was nothing fancy decent for what’s nearby. The inn will always be a consideration if I plan another trip to the dunes.

Unique older hotel in the area of Indiana Dunes NP. The facility has been around for a while...age shows but the bones are good. Modernization would ruin the ambiance! Rooms are huge, clean, and functional. However, they are dimly lit and dated. The hotel is filled with antiques and live plants...a rarity...but they burn candles to mask musty odors...I assume...as there was an odd odor the first day we arrived. Breakfast was the usual hotel fix it your self breakfast. Nothing special but good for included. Parking area could use some sprucing up. I would stay again if in the area.

The hotel itself was great for my family of 4. No complaints about the cleanliness or staff. Pool was clean and working, a tad cold, but not a big issue. The only issue i had was with the smell. Walking into the main lobby the strong smell of fragrance greeted me. And the room itself had a perfume smell to it as well. To normal people it may not be a problem, however im highly sensitive to fragrances and often times will get a migraine from strong smells like that. Fortunately I didnt get one while staying there which amazed me. But maybe the hotel can keep in mind that some people do have a sensitivity to fragrance and it may deter them from wanting to stay again.

Spring House Inn is definitely somewhere that my family will stay again. It was clean, the staff was friendly, breakfast was good and we loved that we had a balcony, even on the ground floor! It has a nice pool with a whirlpool and sauna. It is an older building, but is well kept. There are plenty of nice places around the building to sit outside and enjoy the weather. Inside has many places to sit and enjoy as well. I loved the decor - all of the antique items on display. The fact that it is close to the Dunes and several places to eat is a plus! We live in a nearby city, but needed a place to get away to when our power went out in the big storm that hit NW Indiana. We are so glad we chose Spring House Inn!
