Lovely overnight stay for 2 in a classic room. There are stairs between decks but staff very accommodating to carry luggage. Very comfortable bed & bathroom has a good shower. The OM has a lounge for drinks but not a restaurant (for info) & breakfast is served here. By the way, breakfast was plentiful & wide range - try the bacon bread toasted! Recommend booking parking space if you have a car. Staff are welcoming, friendly & helpful. A unique stay, thanks to Ocean Mist

I’ve stayed at Ocean Mist Leith twice now, and it has officially become my go‑to hotel in Edinburgh. The staff are incredible — warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful in a way that makes every stay feel personal. The cabins are pristine and beautifully designed, especially considering you’re on a ship. If you can book the Bitter End cabin, do it. It’s an unexpectedly luxurious space with thoughtful details that make it feel special. The breakfast on the deck was always delicious with a solid variety. Leith itself is an amazing neighborhood, full of great cafés and restaurants - especially for the pescatarians!

What a really unusual place to stay. We loved staying here. The staff were friendly and really helpful, esp as the trams were not working so we got a great explanation of which buses would take us to various locations. I love the art deco period and this boat certainly did not disappoint. We will definitely be back! Its s hidden gem in Leith.

An unforgettable experience aboard the historic Ocean Mist. Moored gracefully along the harbour canal in Leith, the century-old vessel is steeped in character, combining vintage nautical charm with flawless, attentive service from the entire crew. The top deck bar is a particular delight, a superb spot to sink into a handsome leather armchair, savour a drink, and watch the world go by along the water. Down in the cabin, everything was peaceful and cosy, with a wonderfully firm and comfortable bed. A unique and evocative retreat in Edinburgh.
