Great place to stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay - we wished we could have stayed another night! The bed was comfortable, the patio was a wonderful surprise, the surroundings were peaceful and lovely. We had a most pleasant evening/night at Mt. Gardner Inn, and if we ever get the opportunity - we'll be back, and spread the word amongst our friends!

Very clean and cute boutique motel at withrop! Deer sighting in the morning was a very pleasant surprise! However, there is a rule that anyone younger than 14 cannot stay upstairs room, not sure what the rationale is…one of the kids is a tween so we stayed on the first floor room. If noise is a problem for kids younger than 14, then I have to say that the sound insulation between floors and rooms are not very good. Instead of my tween making noise, we were woken up by early risers upstairs…

The lobby has all the extras you will need for picnics, an ice machine and small appliances to borrow. A good selection of DVD’s as well. This is very close to downtown Winthrop for food and shopping. We sincerely enjoyed our stay and will come back again when passing through Winthrop.

Peaceful, clean and comfortable stay

This is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in! I was immensely impressed with how clean the entire unit was. In addition, the unit was devoid of any harsh chemical or cleaner smells which is a must for me. This was also one of the most peaceful retreats I’ve had the opportunity to enjoy. I stayed in the Raven Ridge B suite and was surprised with not one but three sliding glass doors that all opened out into beautifully landscaped lawns and gardens. Each day I saw mule deer, butterflies and birds behind the back porch area the unit opened up to. The back porch had a lounger chair, couch and end table and pub table and chairs! The cushions had lost much of their support but it was still a beautiful place to lounge and just take in the scenery. I was very pleased with the comfort of the bed and that they had plenty of hangers for me to hang my clothes in the. Parking was easy and plentiful although getting back out onto the highway you have to inch out slowly as the Mt Gardener Inn’s neighbors foliage blocks your view a bit to the West. I needed a kitchen and the Raven Ridge B suite did not disappoint. It had all the utensils and cooking tools I needed along with a microwave, full size fridge, stove/oven and dishwasher with linens and soap. I even requested a blender and the amazing hosts ensured it was in the kitchen and clean upon my arrival! The hosts - they were fabulous as well. My calls were always answered with up beat voices and helpful answers.

Dog room is very close to the road

The room was clean, though very dark. The lobby provided coffee supplies and even an electric teapot that we could use in our room. The dog fee was quite reasonable, but the main issue was that our room was very close to the road which was noisy and a bit dangerous.
