This was the worst experience ever! No human was there ever during the entire time that we were in and out. We arrived early and wanted to drop our bags. It took numerous phone calls until we reached someone who gave us the # of the lockbox to get in. We came back at check-in time and had to make several calls again until we had the name of our room and the place of the keys. No help whatsoever! Since it is a historic house, it was difficult to wrangle the suitcases up an impossibly narrow and very steep staircase. The location is great. Walkable distance to all the colleges and other sights. The above described obstacles were nowhere in the description of the b&b. Had the description been honest and accurate, we would not have chosen this place. We travel quite often and had never encountered a situation like this. Beware before you book!

We arrived at check in time and there was no one to greet us. We called the contact numbers on the door and left 2 messages and no returned our call. It was not until another guest arrived that she was able to call and speak to someone and then spoke on our behalf. Room was incredibly small. Location was fantastic.

Quiet, cozy, comfortable, clean room. Very Oxford vibe, old construction. Incredible location in heart of city center but on a quiet street so you really feel tucked away inside. Service was great, and responsive. There is not a permanent attendant like at most hotels, it was quite old tech with a lockbox and just the key sitting in a bowl in the reception area. I would stay again for sure.

A small hotel with a B&B feel. This is an old building, fitting with the town of Oxford with modern features like a flatscreen tv and wifi. The location is a side street but still in the heart of town. An easy walk to all that Oxford has to offer including the new shopping center.

We had a 1 night stop-over at Tower House. The hotel was cosy and comfortable, and the room had all the facilities we needed. It's right in the centre of Oxford so easy access to pretty much everything. The nearest car park is a short walk away. No breakfast on offer but there are plenty of cafes nearby.
