The Juliet Hotel

Hotel was OK; however, ice machine was broken. Sign read bring bucket to front desk and we'll get you ice or call and we'll bring a bucket to you. I called and they asked me to bring my bucket. ATM was also out of order, not that I needed it but just to get the point that nothing really worked. Wifi was non existent. Arrived around 4:00PM, check in was 3:00PM. Room still wasn't ready. They asked us to wait around for the room to get cleaned. I asked about how long that would be and she said an hour, which was unacceptable. She finally moved some rooms around and got us in one. Furniture was dusty, not well kept at all.

Front desk staff not knowledgeable about area or close places to eat. Bragged on website about pillows but they were horrible. It's in downtown Lafayette but only about 2 miles from Cajundome.

Great location. With some investment they could turn this hotel from a good hotel to a great hotel. I give a higher rating for cleanliness except the tub caulking and tub walls were dirty. Nice huge tub though.

Juliet is splendid, with lavish appointments, an ideal location downtown, and parking if you drove in. But. Its upkeep is mixed. a good housekeeper would notice the dust on the valances and in the docking cradle and the phone speaker. The hallways aren't so well kept. But. I like it.

Parking lot needs improvements. Mildew smell walking into the lobby. No coffee pot in the room. Price is over rated.
