Our upstairs, traditional style studio apartment was clean and comfortable with a modern bathroom suite. We had a lovely, large private balcony. We managed ok but the stone stairs are narrow and steep - cases up on arrival and down on check-out were a challenge! Room servicing is regular with just 2 days off. All the staff are friendly and helpful. Pool is large and deep at one end - a proper swimming pool. Plenty of space for beds, and lots of shade with umbrellas, trees and the restaurant canopy. Bar and restaurant have tasty options and daily specials - at fairly reasonable prices. It is a family and pet friendly resort. Safe and quiet, plenty of parking, or even bikes to rent. Handy on-site Supermarket. All set in well maintained gardens, yet some of the access pathways are uneven and loose, meaning you have to keep your eyes down at all times! This was our 4th time staying here and we will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful stay at Pedras da Rainha. Checkin/out were easy, the room was very clean, and the property was well-maintained. We brought our dog with us and it was the simplest, no-hassle pet experience ever. The location was excellent - just down the road from charming restaurants and shops plus a walkable boardwalk. A quick 10-minute drive has you in Tavira proper or in the other direction, at a bright sandy beach. We would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to others.

We really enjoyed our family stay at Pedras da Rainha. The short walk to the non stop ferry crossings made the beautiful beach really accessible, and the short taxi ride into Tavira gave us cultural experiences and a stunning setting for dinner by the river. Lovely complex with great pool cafe and restaurant. Good location for surrounding restaurants. Supply train and boat transfer to beach for free. The staff are very helpful and friendly. They offer free yoga classes. Spa treatments & raquet sports and bowls are charged as extra.

The staff were helpful, friendly and polite and the facilities on site were good. It was also in a good location within easy walking distance of restaurants, shops and the seafront. The supermarket on site was also convenient and well stocked. Our apartment was in a quiet part of the compex, but it was not the cleanest and it was cold. It was winter and raining, but the two air conditioners didn't warm it sufficiently. An example of cleanliness is the cupboard doors in the kitchen were sticky, also lots of cobwebs behind the bedroom door. The apartment was also infested everywhere with ants, so had to buy ant killer. Other apartments may be better, but ours was not great. We weren't asked about our stay on check out, so we didn't offer feedback.

Everything was great and the staff was awesome. The only negatives were the kitchen was too dark, the fireplace smoke odor was overpowering and strong, and the front door and car were always full of pidgeon poop. Trimming the trees should solve the pidgeon poop issue. We didn’t know the WiFi router had to be rented and there were none available for the first week. All the shortcomings were made up by the great staff.

Lovely place for a family holiday! Loads of green spaces, close to the front with its shops, restaurants, sea front etc. Easy enough to walk but there is also a cute little train you can take. Staff were all really friendly and helpful. We’d definitely come again!

Clean studio with a beautiful balcony towards the garden. It s great to be able to have our dog with us at no extra charge. The only downside was that the pool was always packed. A big place like this should have at least one more pool in the facilities.

very poor cleaning in the room, the bed and behind were filthy. Cleaning ladies did nothing except remake the bed and add new towels but the room was never cleaned. The whole place is for pensioners, and set out accordingly. No one there under 60 years of age. Rooms much darker and smaller and nothing like the pictures. Very poor quality breakfast, bad cheap ingredients, bad coffee, bad cheap everything. And on top of everything, very expensive for a 3 star of this quality. Checked out and found a much lovelier place, in a better less geriatric area, for less than the cost of one night here.
