I loved staying here. The reception was extremely friendly and helpful. I wouldn’t recommend it for light sleepers, it’s a bit noisy, but that is the price you pay to stay in a historic hotel. The location was fabulous and service was excellent. I’d definitely stay here again

Very nice place in one of the best neighborhoods to stay. It’s close to everything, but still in a quiet and lovely area. Friendly staff and a really good deal. PS: If you have big or heavy luggage, ask about your room beforehand, as the stairs can be a bit tricky.

This hotel was in the most lovely neighbourhood, surrounded by cute shops and cafes, and right near the most scenic bridges and canal views. The restaurant underneath the hotel was amazing, I had such a wonderful meal there! All of the staff at Hotel Callisto were so kind, friendly and lovely. I loved my stay so much!

Chose the hotel on pretty short notice securing the last room, because the hotel was near the areas I wanted to be at. Easy walk from Central Station in a lively neighborhood, with lots of shopping and food choices nearby. As already noted that there are no elevators and we were at the top floor with the last staircase is very Dutch and steep. Vouchers for coffee and two pastries per person were easy and decent.

Room spacious, clean and beautifully designed. Staircase up to the top floor is quite steep but you're rewarded with a spacious room, large bed and air-conditioning (very much needed if visiting during a heatwave). Area is perfect for both central Amsterdam and the beautiful Jordaan neighbourhood. Would absolutely recommend.

Lovely room in a brilliant location for exploring the great bits of Amsterdam. Check-in via the Italian restaurant downstairs-staff so friendly, kind and accommodating. Coffee and pastry vouchers for coffee shops across the road which does the most amazing coffee. Food all around too. Staff were able to keep our luggage all day as our flight not till late evening. Accessibility note- if you have mobility problems all the rooms are up a minimum of one flight of quite narrow stairs. Also getting there-bus drops you quite nearby or a very easy 20 min walk from main station. You do not want to drive in Amsterdam. Cycling is the order of the day. Hired bikes and after the first 10 minutes of entering into the madness you totally get into it and it is a great way to see the city and its parks.
