Beautiful property, very close to train station. Rooms have air conditioning so that was a plus! Attentive staff. We did not eat at the hotel so I cannot rate the food, but I would recommend the Malmaison for your stay in Reading.

I’ve forgotten the name of the lady at reception (Iannou???). She made me feel very welcome and was super helpful in answering my questions and giving me a 5 star guest experience. Please pass on my gratitude.

This was my 4th or 5th stay and while the service is excellent the hotel is showing either its age or neglect. Furniture in my room was worn, the bed was lumpy and the lighting way too muted. Think my next visit to Reading might require a new venue. All of that said the reception staff and the housekeeping staff were excellent/
