I had an issue with my previous lodging and hotels. Com offered to rebook me at Astarea Mlini. I don’t normally do resorts, but I was really blown away by the service and cleanliness. The staff was friendly and had great suggestions, the on staff eateries were nice. Prices were fair for a resort considering how everything in Dubrovnik Old Town is 2-3€ more. There were plenty of seats in the breakfast area both inside and outside and numerous options. I found the walk to the bus a bit much, it was on a windy road with little to no sidewalk and the bus schedule was a bit all over the place, so the hotel recommended the Adrianna boat- it was 15€ road trip and a stunning ride to Old Town. The beach and indoor pool were favorites.

Apparently you can borrow towels, but when we came early, and went to the beach while they got the room ready, they said nothing. We paid €50 for 2 towels at the overpriced shop outside the hotel. They want to be 5 stars but are not. Small room, don’t know why it’s called «superior». It had blod/mucus spots on the walls. The view is great, the breakfast is crap. French toast was more like crackers, and the bacon was unevenly cooked. Eggs too raw, and overall the brealfast felt cheap. At almost €300 per night, I was disappointed to say the least.

Beautiful location, rooms were a little on the small side and with only limited storage for a week away. Breakfast was good - regularly filled up and lots of choice. Pool areas was nice and although we never had a problem getting 4 chairs together later in the day I did see others struggling and imagine it can get quite busy in peak season. Fantastic staff and facilities in kids club. Ate at beach bar and pizza restaurant that are part of the hotel and both were excellent. Cleaning staff were good and efficient. Main lobby bar was a bit souless. Very well geared up for kids. I would definitely go back to this resort and hotel. I last visited Dubrovnik area 20 years ago and whilst it is a beautiful place - I think Game of Thrones and too many cruise passengers disembarking has spoiled the atmosphere. It is very expensive.

Great stay!

Stayed here for 10 nights. The staff were very friendly and had good English. We were given clean towels everyday and beds were made daily. Mlini was stunning, nice to stay a short distance outside the busyness of Dubrovnik old town. It was about 12-25€ for an Uber into the old town, depending on the time. Overall we had a lovely stay and would definitely come back!

We had a Beautiful Stay. Staff was lovely and hotel was clean. We loved sauna and steam. Outdoor pool was nice as well along with sun beds. Only issue/feedback that we had that there is no Lift in annex building and my wife found hard to use stairs every time due to Arthritis.

Great hotel but flawed. The hotel is lovely and in a fabulous location. The reception and wait staff were so friendly and helpful. Rooms well maintained and serviced daily if you wish - they have small fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Shower pressure is strong!! No family rooms so need to book 2 interconnecting rooms which is fabulous for space but hikes holiday cost right up Unfortunately they are about 100 sun-loungers short to be able to accommodate all resident of the complex - 2 hotels and small villas/apartments. Not allowed to lie your towel on grass and when you speak to pool staff they couldn't care less. I was directed to beach but would need to pay€10 for a bed and €8 for a parasol on their private beach or go to indoor pool to lie- this is different to previous Maistra hotels i have stayed in. The restaurant breakfast is nice - plenty choice and again tea/coffee/water/fruit juice. Half board evening meal is ok- nothing spectacular but does not include any type of drink but they do offer a full bar at an additional fee. They have a couple of other restaurants on site but again not included with your package- all come with own charge. Game room is great- PS5/Switch 2/some racing game. Pool and table tennis. 3 small local/independent places on promenade otherwise its all Maistra owned. It's not an easy walk into the small town so they very much have you! Can get the boat to Dubrovnik for €15 return just along from hotel or other way into Cavatat.

A clean fairly large hotel with wonderful views of the sea and surroundings. Great location to access a couple of trips by boat and a few restaurants and bars within walking distance. Helpful staff and a good range breakfast buffet. Rooms were clean, fairly basic but fine. Beach access and pool were both easy. Despite all the signs, people still put towels down early in the day. They were at least free - as the beach area charges nearly 50 euro for our group of 4 per day which is very expensive.

Rooms are very small & in need of updating. Definitely a 3 star hotel. Room was clean though. Safe area. Very nice view of the sea & sunset. Dinner buffet was average, very cafeteria like food. Not worth 28 euros/person. Convenient location to the Dubrovnik airport- thats why we chose it. Only stayed 1 night.
