We had a lovely stay at Strömstad Spa & Resort. Great location, close to the ferry, with spacious and clean rooms and a beautiful view. The pool and spa were perfect for the kids, and the breakfast had plenty of good choices. Convenient parking right in front of the hotel, use Autopay. Overall, a very pleasant stay!

Everything was excellent, apart from the sofabed in the livingroom. But those are terrible everywhere. Should add extra matress when its used as bed. Food was amazing.

The hotel is at a very nice spot with beautiful views for some of the rooms. The spa was OK, some of it was out of order. The breakfast was also ok, our room was quite spacious, but looked a bit dated. We were not allowed to pay for an upgrade although it seemed to be enough available rooms. The security guards were very rude and told us to go to our rooms, we (4 people) were not allowed to sit and talk quietly in the reception area after 23:30.

Great breakfast Great pool and sauna Our deluxe room was ok, but the sofa bed is horrible to sleep in, wafer thin mattress and you feel all the springs in the sofa! The cleaning can be stepped up, the bathroom was under par and the two chairs under the TV were full of stains!

Hotel room without beds at least 90 cm width and no AC will not be a first class hotel!! The Kitchen should achieve a more professional level.Not acceptable today. The parking fee is terrible today!!

I spend at least 50 nights a year in hotel rooms and apart from a Malpensa airport hotel Strømstad Spa takes the bottom in 2026 Price is higher end and facilities and service are seriously not up to standard. Unless they change approach to the key revenue driver (customers paying to stay) will be going down I cannot recommend this hotel

Cold room, unable to adjust temperature. Staff just say: sorry. Single beds sliding apart. No amendments like bathrobe or slippers at the room. Should be minimum at a spa hotel. Staff seems a bit disconnected and not super helpful. Breakfast, no eggs left. No frequent refill. Old rooms, old and weared interior, with nasty stains on alomost all furnitures. Not clean and broken stuff in the rooms.
