This was once probably a Grand Hotel, but has suffered from lack of updating over the years and is now somewhat old-fashioned. From the outside it looks very impressive and is still nice but dated. My room was ok, clean, but lacking modern touches, lack of plug points at convenient heights, eg next to the bed etc. Breakfast buffet was good, as was the evening meal (additional cost). Overall, pricing probably reflected the status of the hotel.

Gorgeous place, we loved the building and views, common areas are lovely, dining room is amazing. Staff is friendly and food is very good. Downsides are: No ev chargers Rooms can use some renovations. Overall it exceeded our expectations and we enjoyed our stay very much.

The hotel is set in a nice location. Unfortunately our first floor room, as did many others, looked onto an internal roof area which was shabby and dirty. General decor was tired and dated. Food was ok. Could not fault the staff who were friendly and helpful. Room prices did not justify state of the hotel.

This is a lovely old manor house that is used by the bus tour companies. The house and carpets need some TLC as they are worn in places and the paint is a bit chipped. Although functional, the bathrooms could be updated. The grounds are lovely and it is very quiet- just birdsong. It’s only 40 minutes to Inverness and the village itself has a number of attractions.
