Great stay.

Our stay was fantastic. I wish we would have planned to stay longer. Our little cabin was perfect. Tessa and Bernard were great hosts. I feel like we made friends. They were able to accommodate my wife’s food issues even though I forgot to mention it until four days before our arrival. And the food was phenomenal. We look forward to going back.

The owners meet us upon arriving and was very nice. They let us know not to travel to the city going the direction google was taking us due to no streetlights and very windy roads. The owners were always available and very friendly. Loved our room even though it was a house we felt like we were the only ones there. Great get a way, very relaxing.

Cozy quarters and unforgettable breakfast!

The Taylor House Inn was a perfect stage for a peaceful getaway. The setting is idyllic, and the hosts couldn't be more gracious. I stayed in the Flower Cottage, which is a quaint room behind the grand main house. The cottage was full of country charm. The bed could have been more comfortable. I loved the snacks and even complimentary little bottles of wine in the room. Breakfast was worth the trip! Served in the impressive dining room on beautiful china, the freshly prepared two-course meal definitely left an impression. I enjoyed walking around the area and spotting deer, chipmunks, and lots of birds. I hope to return for another visit here soon!

Tessa is extremely rude. Bernard was actually very nice and was the only reason I even considered adding a star but truly the stay was the worst I’ve ever stayed in. There are water stains all over the ceilings. The walls are cracked due to foundation issues. Our room had cobwebs. The beds are so uncomfortable you can feel each spring. The worst part for me was the black mold all over the bathroom walls. I even found a live roach which I was accused of bring because they said “we don’t have roaches”. Interesting since the entire inn was full. Then i was told it was a grasshopper. I attached a photo, don’t worry. So you can decide. Lastly, we can’t eat in the room. So we went downstairs to eat in the dining room. Tessa said no you can’t eat here. Go outside. So we ate outside like dogs. Don’t stay here

The hosts are delightful. We were in the area for a wedding. The wedding venue was 13 minutes away. The room was cozy with our own bathroom. The bed was comfortable and we had a great time.

This review probably doesn't accurately reflect our stay at Taylor House. We felt right at home. Bernard and Tessa will make you feel right at home. The house is beautiful. You have to understand that it's old and enjoy it as such. It's beautiful inside and out. Very well maintained. The surroundings are beautiful. The attention from Tessa and Bernard is exceptional! The breakfasts are special, very well prepared, different and well presented and served. First time that lodging is part of what we enjoyed on our trip. I would definitely stay at Taylor House again and would recommend anyone to do so.
