We stayed at the WonderView, which is attached to the BlueNose Hotel. The room was clean and well taken care of, but it was a little "bare bones". The rooms were older and could use some refreshing, but we spent most of our time outside so it was ok. We had a view of the bay from the balcony and it was great that we could just walk to the Looking Glass restaurant for breakfast. I do wish it was open a little later that 11:00 as the food was excellent and reasonably priced.

I chose this site to be in walking distance of downtown. But there is a free shuttle that services all the hotels on Eden Road so the closeness was irrelevant. All the other hotels looked much nicer, newer, some were reputable chains with great views and water access. The Wonder View “Bar Harbor Collection” is a run down motel (not a hotel - which I had put in my filter.) It is the unloved step-child of its sister property, The Bluenose Inn. Our room was cramped - bed pushed up against the wall - with stained carpets and walls, neglected fixtures, and beat up furnishings. The endless supply of wax bags for sanitary pads fanned out over the toilet was tacky. I’d recommend looking elsewhere.
