10/10 Exceptional

Mixed reviews had me worried but this place is perfect for a short trip with 2 people. Room is small but that’s perfect. Microwave & fridge came in handy. Bunch of food spots within 2 min walking distance, food truck on corner was our best friend! Easy access to train. Only downside was shower water pressure was not that great . But overall we enjoyed our time and would deff book again for future trips.

Nice spot clean rooms for smokers

6/10 Good

The hotel was not so bad, and the staff was friendly. The major issue was with the location. It was very far from Manhattan and the metro had an interruption with this specific line. We had a hard time going out and coming back because of this. Also, the other thing that bothered us was the cigarette smell all over the place.

Wheeler Hotel in the South Bronx of the Soundview area, was my very first hotel experience. The staff management and property is always on point. I thank you for your kind generous hospitality.

8/10 Very good

I felt the stay was good for the price. However, in the middle of the night, loud music from nearby rooms and the smell of tobacco smoke drifted into my room and bathroom, so I had to open the windows. I reported it to the front desk, and they were very accommodating — they refreshed my floor and room right away. The staff was helpful overall and took good care of me, especially since I was visiting from out of state. The staff was really helpful and made me feel taken care of!!!!!
