Overall it was a great experience. The hotel is in a great location, although parking is a lottery. The room itself was lovely but stuffy and the air conditioning was not helpful. It was also in the back building and a little awkward to access. The continental breakfast was generous and the staff was friendly and welcoming. This is my second stay and I would stay again.

Loved our stay at the Holbrooke Hotel. Highly recommend. Pros: Our room was clean, comfortable and simple, across from restaurant / bar; Food and libations at the GoldenGate was exceptional; service at both hotel and restaurant was outstanding. Frittata, scones and coffee were fresh and delicious the morning of departure. Cons: Walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors in the hallway. No closet, no dresser, no wine glasses, no robes, no TV in room; although, you can request most of these items from the front desk at no additional charge.

This historic hotel is in excellent condition. My room and the common areas were spotlessly clean and very well maintained, and the building is 150 years old! I absolutely loved my room, and the staff were all so nice and helpful. Parking was easy and safe. I can't say enough about this charming, historic gem! I've already booked a return visit.
