A fabulous hotel. I’ve stayed in many hotels, not just in Cork but across Ireland and internationally, and this has got to be one of the best.
The staff are superb — incredibly attentive without ever being overpowering. The food is excellent, with a special mention for the pizza van outside the Glass House Bar, which is a great touch.
From the moment we arrived, Ken the concierge was welcoming, friendly and incredibly knowledgeable, while Jake in the Glass House cocktail bar is an absolute blast. The jazz band playing in the Glass House were also excellent and really added to the atmosphere.
We’ll definitely be back!
If I had to find one negative — and I’m genuinely searching hard here — it would be that they’re rather precious about guests playing the piano in the bar, even when the guest happens to be a pretty accomplished pianist. Perhaps there’s an understandable concern that the visiting talent might give the resident “degree qualified” pianist a run for their money! 😂
Only joking… sort of. A very minor gripe in what was otherwise an exceptional stay. Highly recommended.
