Great location for a family trip to Marwell Zoo and Southampton, nice room but with no air conditioning but a desk fan was provided. Breakfast in the main house was well presented with good choice. The leisure facilities were okay with a nice pool.

The place was very clean . The staff were very helpful and friendly. The grounds were very well kept. Some areas do need a paint to freshen it up. The pool was nice and it was explained that the jacuzzi was still in use even though the button for the bubbles were not working but was in process to be mended. I would definitely stay there again

Great staff and remote location if thats what your looking for. Bad phone signal and WiFi is minimum, rooms are not great, set up like a chalet/buttons, no air con, thin walls, and your window on the ground floor is right next bumpy pathway. Very noisy for plastic suitcase wheels, drunk people and old people with classic FM on full blast.

Nice setting but the rooms are a bit run down, carpet stains and poor furniture, also a gap at bottom of door leading straight to the outdoor elements! Good gym although having to go to reception first everytime you use it can be inconvenient. The grounds and main building are really nice.

The architecture of the main house is truly superb, although having been designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens I would have expected no less. The house for the main part has retained most of its original rooms, where can be found lots of the original wood panelling, other architectural features and an envious oil painting collection. It should be noted that guest rooms are actually in a dedicated block, build next to the main house where the walled garden and kitchen garden originally stood. The rooms are basic but comfortable. The house grounds are quite large, and clearly too much for the ground staff, but they are still lovely and well worth a stroll during your stay. Food was excellent and all staff were pleasant.

The mansion house was beautiful and the woodland walk was great for walking our dog. Room was clean, but very small, and felt a bit like Butlins. The room was very warm and only one window opened a small amount. We would not want to stay in winter as there was a big gap under the door (which opened straight outside). Plenty of parking. Breakfast was good, although it was a bit chaotic. Dinner in the bar was very expensive for what it was. The veggie option whilst very tasty and nicely presented, was an incredibly small portion. Customer service was poor, with staff showing very little interest in guests. Very limited information was provided on check-in, eg eating in the bar/dining room or how to access the swimming pool/spa. Overall it felt like a very basic experience, which was disappointing.
