Probably one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. Despite the man on reception being incredibly helpful and lovely, the property itself could definitely do with a complete make over. It smells of cigarettes in every room, the curtains do not fit the windows, and it's super load from the noise outside. I had flies in my room. I did find the bed very comfortable, and the bathroom was modern and clear . The carpets in the rooms were disgusting. I moved rooms, only to be out in a worse room. I would never stay here again. I couldn't wait to leave. All my clothes smelt very bad of cigarettes.

This place is in altstadt so it has a very goos location. The bulding is quite old but functional. There was no ac so had to have a window open which of course let in a bit of sound from the busy nightlife downstairs. If you go when its cooler this might not be a problem. Breakfast was ok at most. Coffee was bad and it looked like some of the things been in and out of the fridge for a few days. But there was always something to eat. Staff was very nice and friendly. Gold stars to them.

In the heart of old town - which is positive if you want to sightsee, walk towards the Rhein promenade, museums, parks, shopping streets and the subway :) Perfect for night-life-explorers. It is in the middle and between everything. Fantastic to step outside the door and be greeted by friendly Irish pub folks :) Walking distance everywhere - fantastic. The downside is that the old town rarely sleeps on the weekends - you sleep basically over a night-round-party-area. Noises, sounds, laughter and music until 4/5 and then they clean up - if you don’t mind - perfect. If you need a sound night sleep - avoid. That’s where the party takes place :) Hotel is great to sleep - expect no more. The basics covered.

Okay hotel, in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Düsseldorf's Altstadt. Rooms are simple, but clean. Breakfastbuffet was nice, with enough options. Receptionist was very friendly. Location is excellent, if you don't mind noise in the evening. Shower was not warm, that was a downside.

Wow what a great location! The hotel itself is a bit old but we didn’t mind. Bathroom is updated, had some problems with water being too hot or too cold. Sheets and bed were clean and comfy. The AC was needed and appreciated. Wifi was a bit spotty.

Great loction but loud

The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to help. Large "dark" room. Hooting and loud music till 5:30 am Saturday, 3am the other nights. So loud it sounds like our window's were open, but they weren't. But, if your young and want to party, your right in the middle of it.

While we overall had a comfortable stay, there were a few things that we were not happy with, but not all were the fault of Hotel St. Georg. The nightclub next door! OY! Maybe it was just the room we were in, but starting at about 10pm, we could hear the music and feel the thumping from the bass. On one night it went until 3:30 am. Luckily I was so exhausted that I did eventually fall asleep. The Aldstadt area is definitely a party environment, full of clubs, bars, and restaurants. It is VERY convenient to the trains, shopping, and sightseeing. We partook in the revelry (there for the Christmas Markets) and enjoyed the people watching. The breakfast buffet was satisfying. Though not the fault of the staff, on our last night our door lock broke. It took over 4 hours for us to get back into our room, and only after they finally called a locksmith who had to drill out the door. We were so glad that it happened before staff left for the night because we had an early morning flight home. Oh yes, desk is not manned 24hrs. We were given a new room for our last night, it was much smaller and we couldn't get several of the lights to work, but it was overall comfortable. Overall, I would stay there again because it was so convenient for many reasons, but know to ask for a room above the 1st floor and maybe on the other side of the hotel.
