I recently visited St. Giles Southkey and would like to provide feedback on breakfast and housekeeping. The breakfast spread is good, with a wide variety maintained even during busy periods. However, the reserved table tag system relies heavily on staff observation, which can cause confusion. During my visit, I stepped away for a second round of food, and my table was cleared and taken by another guest. Staff were unsure who had cleared it, and I was eventually reseated at a larger table despite a queue outside. A dual-tag system indicating occupied vs available tables could prevent this.
Another issue is housekeeping entering the room despite the “Do Not Disturb” sign being displayed and before check-out time. While preparing rooms is understandable, strict adherence to DND signage is essential to maintain guest privacy.
In summary, while the hotel provides a good breakfast and basic facilities, clearer table management during breakfast and strict observance of DND signs would improve the guest experience and influence whether guests consider staying here in the future.
