Great view, rustic cabins, fantastic food. Rooms were quite warm without air conditioning. Would recommend this as a go to place to stay on Manitoulin Island.

The setting is beautiful and our cabin had a good view. We found the cabin to be too basic for what we were paying.

First time visit last week. Red Lodge captures the spirit of Manitoulin and Lake Manitou while offering well furnished and appointed rooms and a top notch dining experience! I definitely plan to come next year !

Nice area, very remote and quiet. Place to stay for more than a night, as the room has a kitchenette and there are a lot of options to hike and canoe.
Lots of information provided by the staff, and a lot of “don’t do this, don’t do that” that gives an impression that some guests have not respected the place and that the staff is a little bit stressed…

It was a completely different outdoor experience compared to similar locations we have stayed at elsewhere. Even though its the basics, everything was optimized to make the stay comfortable.

Property is by the lake. Water view is excellent. There is a lot of potential for water activity. However, we have to check out by 9:30am (required). If you like these activities, then, you’d better make 2 nights stay.

Excellent getaway
Came here for our 45th wedding anniversary. It was better than expected! There is no internet or tv but we werent expecting or needing it, so suitedcour needs completely! Staff is wonderful and the common fireplace is a great way to meet other guests and chat up. Everyone there was super friendly! Very close to the hiking trails too!

My husband & I stayed for 2 nights. First night we had dinner there. One of the best meals we’ve had dining out. Staff are very friendly & welcoming. Our cabin, the grounds & restaurant were very clean. Restaurant had that old school cabin feel. The view from the dining room is perfect. Beautiful sunrises & sunsets, so many stars in the sky & we even got to see a shooting star! Disappointed we ate dinner elsewhere the second night. Definitely wanting to book a cabin next year with friends.

Quick check-in process, and the grounds and lake are accessible to all. Clean and well stocked rooms. The beds though are really bad - both mattresses in cabin #5 were sagging in the middle and we all woke up the first night with back pain. I spoke with the proprietor and was told I was incorrect about the beds, and regardless, they had no more availability to switch us to another cabin.

The cabin was well equipped and very clean, but unfortunately we only arrived after 10 pm and had to leave in the morning at 9 so didn’t have time to enjoy the beautiful deck and view, and also the good food that is available in the main dining area. We definitely would go back so we can spend more time.
