Good location (very close to the train station and downtown) and relatively quiet for being located on a major road at a major intersection. The building is nice, solidly constructed with spacious rooms and high ceilings. The room needs some updating in terms of decor and there are little touches that show a lack of very careful attention to maintenance (curtains that aren’t attached completely at the top of the window, dead mosquitoes on the sheer curtains). A little more careful attention to these details would go a long way to improving the first impression. That said, the room was spacious (a corner room -05) and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were welcoming and pleasant. All in all, I recommend this hotel and would stay again on another visit to the Saumur area.

Stayed one night. In my opinion, this property does not match the level of quality I usually associate with Best Western hotels in the US. The room felt outdated and could have been cleaner. The carpet was quite dirty, and the curtain was partially off the window when we arrived.. On the positive side, the room itself was spacious, there was plenty of street parking nearby, and the reception staff were very kind and welcoming.

The hotel was nice, the a/c was on a timer, so it went off unexpectedly. They did turn it back on, but it was a very hot weekend and took a long time to cool the room. Parking was easy and free on the street. The water dispenser was great. Coralline was the best and gave many excellent recommendations.The bed was comfortable, the room was very clean, my dog was welcome and there is a small park close by for walks. It is a beautiful town! The bakery down the street (2 blocks) has the BEST chocolate croissants!
