We loved the hotel and the staff were really friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to a room with a river view which was an unexpected treat. Food was good , particularly the breakfast. The only niggle was the distance from the city but we used Ubers which were fast and reliable.

This is a new, quite unique hotel. A refurbished property that used to be a soap factory, it occupies a stunning location along the Douro River. The riverside rooms have panoramic views, and the breakfast and dinner buffets are well done and staged in a dining area with amazing indoor and outdoor views.
