We loved our stay at Macadamia! The unit is self-contained and well-equipped with everything that you might need - even salt and oil if you want to cook and laundry detergent for the washing. There is a fantastic soda just 5 mins walk away. The air conditioning was fantastic in one room and not so good in the other, but it gets cool at night and you can open the windows. We even saw an armadillo next to the driveway! Guillermo is super helpful, and this is a wonderful place to stay.

The house was immaculate, secure and quite. Our host was at the house for check in and greeted us warmly. Offered services to set up tours, gave us recommendations for food and answered phone calls promptly. Guillermo was our host and key to our amazing stay at Macadamia. We didn’t have a vehicle, but calling for a taxi was easy and quick. Highly recommend for a peaceful stay in quiet surroundings yet close to all the local activities.

We had an excellent stay at the Macadamia villas. The property is gated and secure, and each of the villas is well equipped and a good size for 2-6 people. The property is located slightly outside the main town, so I would recommend staying here only if you have your own vehicle. The host, Guillermo, was very kind and welcoming, and gave us local recommendations during our stay. We even contacted him via WhatsApp during our stay and he arranged a tour for us. I would highly recommend anyone to stay at this property if you're in the Santa Elena/Monteverde area.

A beautiful villa a short drive away from the town of Santa Elena and all it has to offer. Guillermo was so welcoming and everything was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed and there was even on site laundry. I picked this place because it was one of the few options that had air conditioning in the area (which was much needed) and I’m so glad I did! Highly recommend!!

Great 2 bedroom 3 beds apartment . New condition very clean gated area has everything we needed. We called Guillermo on his phone and he responded right away and helped us with the grill for barbecue and one of the AC. He is amazing, friendly and very kind . The Villas are beautifully maintained. Comfortable and convenient to St. Elena. You’ll need a rental car as the walk to town is very hilly. We loved having all the space and a full kitchen. The host Guillermo is extremely nice and accommodating- our coffee maker broke so he gave us his! He does not speak English but we used our Google translator with no problems. The only issue we had were some pretty large spiders crawling around the floor, but it is to be expected given the location in the cloud forest.

The villa was even nicer than the photos! Check in was absolutely seamless by corresponding directly on What's app with the property manager, Guillermo. They use codes for the main gate and the front door of the villa. All the kitchen equipment you need and the washer/dryer made the stay absolutely wonderful. AC units in both bedrooms as well as one in the main area. Our kids LOVED the trampoline outside our villa (Villa #5 has a bigger trampoline than some other ones) and the gated compound allowed them to go and explore on their own. You can see the low-hanging clouds drift through the compound, so cool. Sat outside under the covered patio during rain storms. Anything we needed, Ana and Guillermo were there instantly. Wonderful stay, would highly recommend.

We had a pleasant stay. Stayed in villa #6 For the most part, everything was great. Only negative which was very minor, was the spare room curtain. On the very last one, it wasn't folded right so lets in the sun. The sun rises very early there. Again a very minor complaint. We had two teenage girls traveling with us. They were disappointed our trampoline was smaller than all the other units. Again, very minor. Loved the property had security gates. Beautiful grounds. Only thing missing would be a hot tub on the property.

We had an exceptional stay at Villas Macadamia. Upon arrival, we received clear and direct communication regarding property access. The property is securely gated with an electric gate and keypad, complemented by a motion sensor light, which was particularly convenient as we arrived late in the day. A delightful surprise for our family (especially our son) was that each villa comes equipped with its own trampoline, which he thoroughly enjoyed. We also appreciated the convenience of having a washer and dryer available within the villa. The villa itself is spacious and thoughtfully designed, featuring rocking chairs on the front porch and additional seating in the back, all set amidst lush greenery. Guillermo, the property manager, was incredibly helpful and responsive, always available via WhatsApp to promptly address any questions or concerns. Overall, our stay in Monteverde was wonderful, and we would undoubtedly choose Villas Macadamia again should we return to Costa Rica.
