The staff were very friendly and helpful, and spoke English. Our room was small, but very well appointed, clean, and well organized. Beds were comfortable and the 5th floor bar was lovely, but not open late enough for us to use it. The hotel is in the historic section of this beautiful city, just off of the main street. The staff was great, really helpful, and friendly. They also helped us book a car to the airport. The hotel was clean and nice and we stayed at the Mets apartments down the road, which are pretty nice and were clean. The Air Conditioning isn't very strong but does work if you leave it on all day. The main thing is that the hotel and apartments are in a great location right next to all the shopping and very near some good restaurants so it's easy to walk everywhere. I'd definitely stay here again and recommend it to others if they want to stay right in the city and walk to everything.

This hotel is in a great location on a side street minutes from all major sites. The roof top bar is perfect and the service is fantastic. Golio was great. Room was small, but modern and equipped with everything.

I had a good stay. What I loved about the hotel is the brilliant design. Although the hotel is located right in heart of town, actual rooms are more interior and towards the back away from Main Street. In addition on the back, the immediate outward area is the bathroom and shower. As result main sleeping area is in middle and extremely quiet. Further window shutters are very high quality metal plates which make the room very dark as night sky. So you will have ultimate comfort for your sleep. Staff also were very kind and eager to help anyways they could. One downside issue was the breakfast area, it is extremely small and cramped and people often run to each other. They have an outdoor area behind breakfast room which is open space, I recommend them to cover it and then remove the sliding glass doors to make it one giant breakfast area. Otherwise you would love staying there, it is very centrally located with so many shops around and near all attractions.

This hotel and associated apartments (we stayed in one of the apartments) was the perfect location for exploring Bologna. The staff were very helpful. The rooftop bar was beautiful. We had friends who stayed in the actual hotel and thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast each morning at the hotel. The rest of our group of friends stayed in the apartments and enjoyed walking to the Conads (chain grocer in Italy), which was steps away, for breakfast. I would most definitely stay at the Hotel Metropolitan when visiting Bologna!

We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this property, especially for anyone flying into Bologna before embarking on a cruise from Porto Corsini. The location was excellent, with plenty of shops and restaurants just a short walk away. Our apartment was clean, spacious, and very comfortable for our family of four. The breakfast was delicious, and the cappuccino was among the best we had during our trip. The staff were extremely responsive to emails before and during our stay and were very helpful in arranging our transfer to the port for our cruise. Their assistance made our travel plans seamless and stress-free. Overall, this was a fantastic experience, and we would gladly stay here again when visiting Bologna.
