We recently stayed in a villa at The Nest Resort in Crete, and overall, it was a wonderful experience that I would gladly recommend to families looking for a peaceful getaway. The Highlights * Atmosphere: The resort is remarkably quiet and offers a serene, relaxed environment—perfect for unwinding with the family. * Family-Friendly: It’s an ideal spot for guests traveling with children. The resort feels safe and welcoming without ever feeling overly crowded or noisy. * Staff & Service: The absolute highlight of our stay was the staff. Everyone was genuinely kind, incredibly friendly, and attentive throughout our visit. A Minor Detail * Villa Cleaning: The only small drawback was the housekeeping schedule. Cleaning wasn't done daily as described in the hotel overview, and while the thoroughness could occasionally be a bit better, it was only a minor issue and didn't detract from our overall comfort. Final Thoughts Despite the slight variation in the cleaning schedule, the gorgeous villa, incredible staff, and peaceful setting made our stay deeply enjoyable. We would happily return and recommend it to anyone visiting Crete!

I had a wonderful stay at the nest. A special place with amazing staff who go above and beyond to make your stay special. My room was lovely with a balcony that had incredible views of the sea and the poolside/spa were very relaxing and well maintained. Can’t recommend enough. I wish I was staying longer!

The most amazing stay. The view is stunning and the service fantastic. The villas are really top notch. The only thing to avoid is the buffet style dinner. We were shocked at the poor quality given how amazing everything else was. Overall, a beautiful stay and we'd love to come back.

We spent a lovely 12 days at The Nest and couldn’t have wished for a better place to relax and unwind. Perfectly located up on the hill with amazing views and a lovely breeze to take the edge off the heat. The pool area is beautiful with loads of space and sunbeds. So much variety with the food and Greek night on Sunday is a feast. What really sets this place apart is the staff, all of whom are so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Honestly felt like we were saying goodbye to friends at the end of our stay. We’ll be back.

Beautiful small boutique hotel Nestled high up in the hills so a car or quad bike is needed. Very chilled. No entertainment or anything so perfect for those who want to relax Downsides were the bed was rock hard and there wasnt a full length mirror. The safe was at the very bottom of the wardrobe so not good if you are elderly or cant bend. It should be put in a better place

We stayed in a two bed villa and had a fantastic time. The staff were extremely welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation is located is located in a lovely, quiet location but close enough to plenty of restaurants and towns. The main pool is fantastic with a small bar offering great food and drinks. I would absolutely recommend a stay here.

This resort was out of this world! From the first moment we got to the resort, the staff welcomed us and made sure we settled in well and this truly made us feel we were at home. I would definitely recommend the sea view room or the villa as the views are to die for! The food was fresh and you could tell that the menu was great perfectly crafted thanks to the chef. The menu for Dinner changed everyday which was something we looked forward to every night and let’s not talk about the buffet breakfast! JUST WOW!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The Nest is perfection. The relaxed vibe with every luxury is just what we needed. The staff are simply wonderful - warm, friendly, thoughtful. I booked a massage at the Spa and it was excellent. Everything we could want or imagine was taken care of and we were so impressed that we returned for our final night on Crete. Highly recommend Halcyon restaurant too - food is exceptional! I will stay here again on my next visit.

I spent 3 days at the nest resort and I had a great stay there! I came during shouder season, one week before the hotel closes for the olive harvest. It was the perfect time for me as there were not many travellers staying at the hotel. The staff was really nice. They were always available to help me whenever I needed help. Thank you to all the hotel staff and particularly Klaudia, Alex and the two gentlemen doing the diner service. The food served at breakfast and diner was delicious. We stayed for 7 nights in a 2 bedroom villa. The villas are arranged in 3 rows above the main hotel building, each spaced a good distance apart. The first two rows are accessible by car or a courtesy golf buggy (or walking of course!), but the top row requires climbing a steep flight of steps - something to be aware of if you are traveling with elderly parents as we were. The views even from the lower row is excellent. The villa is entered on the top level, which has a living room and an ensuite bedroom with balconies for both. Down the stairs is the kitchen / dining area with another ensuite bedroom, both with doors onto the pool area. The pool is very large for a private villa pool - long enough to get in some laps if that's your thing. It was warm enough to swim at the beginning of May, but only just. We booked the half board rate. Breakfast was a buffet, with plenty of options including changing hot dishes and local specialities. The only small disappointment was the bread and jams, both of which tasted of very little. Dinner was consistently excellent - each night had a selection of appetizers to share, followed by a choice of 3 mains. There were more than enough options to ensure we didn't have to have the same dish more than once. There is also a good wine list with a selection of Cretan and other wines. Service was also superb, with super friendly staff who were arr of the best we have experienced.

Amazing

The Nest Resort is one of the best places I've ever stayed. The 2-bedroom villa was incredible - it was beautifully decorated, immaculately clean and well-stocked with everything you could need. Having a pool to ourselves was just great. Breakfast was lovely, with lots of local foods to try. The location is nice - it's away from the crowds and you have a sense of serenity around you (although you may want a car if you want to explore). But the best thing was the incredible service - Klaudia and her team were amazing. When we arrived early in the morning we were weary after the overnight ferry, and Klaudia immediately made sure were fed and in our rooms as soon as possible. During our stay, nothing was too much for her - she was so helpful and generous, and it was an absolute pleasure to stay at The Nest.
