Alexandra Hotel

Estupendo hotel en St Julian. Personal amable y progesional, habitaciones confortables y limpias, buffet de desayuno más que completo. No nos dió tiempo a probar las piscinas y el spa pero seguro que eran increíbles. Lo recomiendo mucho.

La habitación era limpia y amplia. La cama cómoda y el balcón grande y luminoso. Lo único malo la bañera que tenía el fondo bastante deteriorado.

Muchísimo ruido de día (por las obras) y de noche (por la gente de marcha) No muy limpio, instalaciones viejas, armario grande, buenas vistas desde mi habitación, luz insuficiente en la habitación para leer o trabajar, no disponible la piscina hasta el último día.

Booked in here for 4 nights and got my travel plans mixed up. Rightfully when I didn’t check out the hotel called me. I went back to see could I stay and was asked to pay €84 and move rooms. As this was 30% higher than what I had paid per night and 50% more than what the hotel was worth; I checked out. Once checked out and sat in reception. There were tons of other options online including staying for €46. I booked and checked back in as it was raining. I was then asked to fill out all the forms at reception again. The place is old and dated. You need to leave a special key card in the room or it switches off all the power. This is tricky when traveling as you can’t leave a tablet/phone to charge while being out and reception wouldn’t give a second key. Also pointless to have a fridge in the room hence they were plugged out and spelled awful. Some parts of the hotel are spotless. The had a team washing and polishing the leather seats in reception and lampshades in the bar yet next to them the tiles were cracked and wallpaper peeling off. The luggage room was unsupervised which isn’t very safe and breakfast was a 4/10 at best. I had this twice out of 5 days showing how good it was when already paid for. Shorditch nearby does a good healthy breakfast. It’s a budget hotel and near a party place so hallways are always noisy; certainly not for families. Not the worst place I’ve stayed but it seems they focus on looking after random parts and ignoring others.

Initially there was problems with the rooms however I couldn’t fault the staff! They were always polite and professional. On another night my son suffered from a severe throat infection the night staff put themselves out providing honey and lemon hot drinks. The hotel was very pleasant apart from toilet system noisy at night. Decent out door pool and indoor pool. Thank you for a lovely stay!
