Fantastic stay. The room and hotel overall were full of character, housed in a historic former warehouse. The included daily dinner was surprisingly delicious, especially the soups and salads. Breakfast was also good. The common spaces across the main floor of the hotel are warm and inviting, as are the over water porches and communal terraces. The staff here were phenomenal and went above and beyond! As for the room itself, while it was on the small side, it was well laid out, nicely furnished, and had a wonderful bathroom with a great shower and strong water pressure. The balcony over the harbor was a memorable plus.

A Great Place to Stay Hotel Packhuset is centrally located in Kalmar, walking distance to all the city sights. Parking right out front with attentive Reception staff Alexandra, Julia & Elly ensuring our three night stay went without a hitch. They willingly advised us on how to use the parking meters outside (as limited Swedish experience with this)…..and we arrived early - room ready thx to Tereza (housekeeping) and early access was no problem! We booked standard room with smorgasbord Breakfast, afternoon Fika & Dinner included. The room is very comfortable & the food outstanding. We had several chats with chef Roffe, who clearly loves what he is doing & it shows in the food. This fella can cook!! Gym & Sauna very high standard & appreciated to work off the great Swedish cooking!

Clean and comfortable hotel. Currently having some work done to the outside which meant I didn’t a view from my window but the hotel had informed me about this beforehand. Good breakfast.

The view of the harbor is amazing! The Kalmar Packhuset is a delight in every way enjoyed by Swedish and foreign visitors alike. The breakfast, fika, and evening meals were excellent. The hotel is conveniently located near rail station, central Kalmar, and shopping.

The hotel is in a perfect location on the quayside in the harbour, a few minutes' walk from the train/bus station and just across the road from the city wall and centre. Kalmar Castle is about 20 minutes' walk away. On arrival we were given a very friendly and warm welcome at the reception. Breakfast, afternoon fika (Swedish coffee + cake) and buffet dinner are all included for all guests. Our room was charmingly located in the eaves of the hotel, with wooden ceiling beams and lots of character. Overall this hotel must be one of the most convenient and recommendable in Kalmar.

Bra hotell med fint läge i hamnen, sköna sängar. Extra plus för att en god kvällsmat ingår i rums priset samt att frukosten också är inkluderad. Finns ju en hotellkedja som tar bra betalt för detta
