As I was there in a quiet time, it was a luxurious experience. I really appreciated the Salt Village which is incorporated in the hotel, with wonderful eateries, breakfast and lunch cafes.. the resort is super comfortable but.. I suspect in holiday times there would be a real crush and perhaps the experience would not be as peaceful and easy.

The hotel room was spacious and had a large balcony with a pleasant outlook. Unfortunately the Hotels.com website said the room had a microwave which is one of the reasons I booked this room but none of the hotel rooms have microwaves. Otherwise it was a very pleasant stay, right on the beach with quite a few eateries beside the hotel.

We Stayed in a Spa Suite. The room was clean and adequate. The bedroom was cold at night as there was no heating in the room. We did request a blanket which reception organised immediately. Overall amenities were good, with a lovely pool and deck area.

Restaurants in adjoining Salt village were all closed on Sunday and most on Monday as well, so much for the struggling economy we read about …. you can’t make szz as Les or a profit if you aren’t open! “Ocean view” room is a bit of an oversell … view is completely blocked by the foreshore planting/trees
