I booked the Thunderbird for the vintage vibe, the location, and because I was traveling with my dog. I love the concept, the morning donuts, and the fenced dog area. I was surprised about the condition, from steps to the 2nd floor rooms in disrepair to gaps in the room flooring and torn fabric on chairs. I've been to many cities as a solo female traveler and am comfortable walking several miles a day. Based on what I saw around the motel, I was not comfortable walking to get dinner so I drove. That Friday evening and then Saturday morning there was yelling and loud conversations from the Greyhound bus station across the street.
