This hotel is ideally situated, just a short walk from all the main key attractions. We stayed in a classic room and found it more than suitable, it was exceptionally clean as was the rest of the hotel. The staff were very attentive, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Staff was friendly and room was clean, but otherwise this wasn’t a five star hotel. Phone inside room was not working. Breakfast was average. While I was taking a shower, I noticed that the hair conditioner had run out. I mentioned this to the reception, and I was told that they would take care of it. The following day, the room had been cleaned, but the hair conditioner was still empty. I didn’t feel like going to reception a second time to mention it. Additionally, when I went to bed at night, I noticed that one of the lights on the side of the room was on and could not be switched off. A member of staff came to take a look, but they were unable to turn it off either, so they called some kind of “technical support”, who advised them to switch off the light using some sort of main switch. This did work, but afterwards, the power outlets in the room stopped working, so I could no longer charge my phone or laptop, for example. Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel as a five-star hotel.
