Overall a good hotel, location and amenities. It’s not the most modern, but the pool/bar area are 1st class and the staff very friendly and attentive. Good location for Catania, 10min Uber into downtown/ Metro station. Great views of Etna, ask for pool/sea view room (even no’s). Quality breakfast. The rooms are large, but dated and the hotel fascia could do with a fresh lick of paint. Plenty of local bars/restaurants near by and amazing food/wine for bargain prices. Demonstrates how much we get ripped off in the UK. Eg Table x 6 with starters/mains/deserts/beer & wine, nothing more than €200, and they don’t expect tips. Would stay again.

Enjoyable Stay Overall

We had read the mixed reviews about the hotel and after staying there are more positives than negatives - good location , lovely pool area and sea terrace, helpful staff, comfortable bed , excellent housekeeping however the hotel does need some updating and parts need cleaning such as the lift windows and balcony furniture , more choices for eggs at breakfast would be nice . Overall we really enjoyed our stay

The staff are friendly, breakfast is great and the overall stay was pleasant. The catch is, you have to pay 20 eu per person to access the ocean swimming area. This felt really scammy. If I had known before booking, our family of 4 might have styayed somewhere else since this raised our daily hotel cost 80 eu per day more than it should have been.

Booked Hotel Nettuno for a four day break, knowing we'd have a busy weekend prior our stay, we chose Nettuno because there was a pool. After checking in on the 7th Oct, we were told the pool closed for the season on Oct the 1st. The rooms were clean albeit a bit dated, the shower cubicle was very small. Staff were friendly and helpful. The closest sandy beach was approx 1hour 30min walk There is a small harbour where you can swim approx 15 min walk towards Catania, water is very clean and locals seemed friendly.

The Hotel-staff was excellent and very helpful. We will give a special appreciation to Giuseppe for extra good service. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It has a few good places to eat and drink near by, a shopping mall close by. It’s close to the sea and the lava-‘beaches’ and walking distance to the town center (30-50 minutes), but busses are useful for faster transport (we assume:-)) Ok Italian breakfast. On the downside it’s close to a busy road, but even with our room facing towards it, we didn’t have any big issues. The A/C makes a bit of noise, but it was possible to turn off. We didn’t have a car but the hotel has parking available inside a fenced area. The room was spacious and with bathtub, fridge and a small safe. We enjoyed our stay.

We stayd in a superior double room with sea view on 4th floor. The room was clean, and was cleaned every day during our stay. The entire hotel seems a bit outdated, more like a 3 star, but the personnel was fantastic. I complained about missing shower gel in the bath room, and they apologized, replaced the shower gel, and even gave us some gifts. That's service! I also asked to turn off the music from the pool bar in the evening, because the same music has been played since 10:00 AM, and they did it. Also very appreciated! I chose the hotel because of the pool area, and that was great. With 30+ degrees, you need a pool. There was available sunbeds, and possible to rent towels. The breakfast was very good, with a good variety of food and cakes. I also asked for a later checkout, and many thanks to Alessandro in the reception that made it possible! I would definitely choose this hotel again.
