Woken up at 2:30 am by a couple of gentlemen? Arguing and yelling expletives at each other in the parking area in front of my room for 2 hours. They were long term residents of the facility as were several other residents........... as in economically disadvantaged social services placements. Rooms were nice and clean.

This was a last minute booking. Dumas Inn is a quaint establishment. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the mattress was comfortable. I would stay here again and plan to if needed on our way back home.

Luckily this was just a sleep and get up and leave kind of situation. The coffee pot was disgusting and had this white stuff growing in it. The refrigerator was Rusty and filthy. At least we hope it was rust. The bed was squeaky and dipped to the middle. And the air conditioning unit was very loud. The lady at the front desk was very nice and check-in was quick. I rarely give a review but I felt like this just needed to be known. So management can make some fixes. If they are so inclined to invest the money. If not at least just take the coffee pot out and the refrigerator out of the room. You have anything to ask.

So from the state of Dumas in general, the hotel was in stunning shape. The rooms had nice tvs, small coffee pots and housekeeping daily. I was shocked that they had daily housekeeping as many smaller places with affordable rooms like this tend to do it weekly. There was a small breakfast available between 6:30 and 9 which I was not expecting, but I enjoyed the limited offerings they had. 10/10 will stay here again when I come into town for work. The only complaint I had (which was not the owner/operator's fault) was that someone below me decided to have a party on one of my last nights there, and had music playing so loudly that it shook stuff on the desk in my room.
