I am one for an inexpensive stay but this was really pushing the boundaries. The room showed significant wear. There was a hole in the wall where the door had been opened too quickly. There was tape covering above the door where there used to be a door opener I think. There were rust and wear stains all over the walls and furniture. There are no blackout curtains but a metal shutter you close over your window. We arrived late in the evening so we were given the handicapped room. Perhaps other rooms are better maintained. Was it the worst stay we ever had? No. The location was pretty convenient and the sheets were clean. We slept well. However - I would not recommend it.

Great location, nice friendly staff, rooms quite small but very clean and comfortable. Breakfasts good, lots of parking. Generally pretty quiet. Shower excellent. Only downside for us was that the washbasin waste needs to be cleaned i think.

We spent two weeks at this hotel. The staff were brilliant, always helpful with a 'nothing is too much trouble' attitude. The rooms were well cared for, breakfast was a wonderful choice and to sum up, I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bayeaux and the surrounding region.
