Amazing hotel, shame about the staff

Stunning hotel, very comfortable and quiet room with a beautiful view of the sea. Lovely pool, gym and sauna. Great location, 25 mins walk to the old town and 5 mins to some lovely bars and restaurants. The only let down was the staff really…they were the least friendly we came across in Madeira. We were not impressed with the service fee that was automatically added to every bill considering the poor level of service. The friendliest member of staff we came across was the guy that was on reception when we checked out at 3am! Also the drinks weren’t very nice and were very expensive.

Really modern, good quality hotel. The two pools are amazing, plus the direct access to swim in the ocean. Rooftop bar also a big plus! Rooms are spacious and clean. Food at the hotel was good, but it would have been nice to have some traditional Madeiran dishes on offer as well.

Fantastic place to stay in Madeira. We stayed in December. The hotel is in an ideal location, just a few minutes walk from the port and about 15 minute walk into Funchal old town area. The hotel was clean, modern and very well maintained. The views from the sea view room were incredible and well worth the slightly more expensive price. Also the views from the rooftop pool bar were excellent. The breakfast was very good with a huge selection of hot and cold items, coffees, juices and pastries. We only had a short stay so didn’t make use of the gym/spa. The only minor downside was the additional charge for parking within the hotel. Overall it was a fantastic stay and would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in Funchal!
