We had a room on the 4th floor which had an amazing view or Arthur’s Seat! The staff was great! The place was clean and neat, and somehow they managed to clean our room without ever it being an imposition once. The ceiling was sloped over the bed which made it tricky to get in and out of bed on one side. And there was no elevator so if you get a room on the upper floors in this particular building (there is another building that does have an elevator) make sure your fit enough to climb stairs (we averaged 12 stories of climbing every day). But all that said, we had a wonderful 10 days at the KM and would stay again on the 4th floor.

Very agreeable and pleasant staff, who helped us change rooms after the first night due to excessive noise from the street. Everywhere was clean and tidy and the complimentary coffee/tea/cookies in the room was much appreciated. On the down side, there is no lift and the sliding bathroom doors are made of glass so one can hear everything! Unfortunately, the hotel breakfast was a bit tasteless, and deliveries to the shops in the same courtyard start every morning at 6am. Definitely recommend this place but remember your ear plugs next time!

I really enjoyed staying here for the Fringe fest! It's super close to George Square (Assembly) but still very quiet and peaceful. The room was very comfortable. It had two shower heads and a big bed. Check in was quick and easy. Would definitely stay again!

Lovely stay, staff were very accommodating and friendly. Rooms could do with a little refurb but can’t really complain given the price we paid to be in Edinburgh so was really good value for money. Breakfast was spot on too.
