Sunrise room was very comfortable and well-kept. It was nice having a private balcony, even though you cannot see anything from it due to unkempt grounds. The grounds needed some TLC and the lighting at night is terrible. There needs to be some lighting along the edge of the hill leading to the stream--nothing would prevent someone from accidentally walking off the edge and crashing down to the fence below. We missed the wine and hors d'oeuvres hour, but they were very kind to plate up wonderful snacks and leave in the fridge upstairs, along with a bottle of wine each night. Breakfast was awkward, as there was only one other couple staying while we were there, yet they sat us about a foot apart and didn't allow for choice seating. The gourmet breakfast was anything but. The other couple even told us they weren't going to bother with breakfast the next morning, and turns out they didn'tmiss anything. We informed the Inn several times about a dietary preference for my wife, only for the owner and staff to fail in their commications and serve meat anyways. They didn't bother replacing the first day, and second morning forgot again and had to quickly whip up some scrambled eggs in place of the underwhelming "monte christo" they served me. They still plated it and served it at the same time they served the eggs, so it was nice and cold. This might seem harsh, but all-in-all, the breakfast at this B&B was pretty pathetic. Good thing bed was very comfortable!
