Large bedrooms. Old interiors in bedrooms. Dinner service 7.45 until 9.00pm. Same table allocated for breakfast and dinner throughout stay. Very bright, large dining room. Good food though set menu. Good breakfast. Reception areas large and attractive. An extremely traditional hotel that needs a more modern approach.

This property had its day but long passed now. The spa area is very dirty. Unscrubbed tiles, unkempt grounds & outdoor common areas. The thermal pools were lukewarm, dirty, & jets not fully functioning. The lobby area and dining room are nice but staff is rude and haughty with the impression they are still in the grandiose days of yore.

This property falls far short of luxury standards—it's more like a dated motel than a 5-star hotel. I suspect it may have been upscale 50 years ago, but there has clearly been no meaningful maintenance or renovation since then. The overall condition is very run-down. Towels had visible holes, the pillow felt like a solid brick, and the bathrobe was in such poor shape that it was off-putting just to look at. The room had no functional temperature control, forcing us to open the windows for any airflow—which unfortunately let in a lot of cigarette smoke from outside, making the space stuffy and unpleasant. Other issues included: A very old, heavily stained couch in the room full of holes. Stained breakfast tablecloths. Outdated physical keys (not electronic key cards) for both the room and the safe—something that feels like a basic necessity in modern hospitality, not a luxury perk. We booked for two nights but checked out after just one. The uncomfortable bedding (especially the rock-hard pillow), unbearable heat, and constant smoke made sleep impossible. Unfortunately, the hotel refused to refund the second night. Overall, this was a disappointing and frankly sad experience for what was presented as a luxury stay.

The hotel is desperate for a refurbishment, it’s a lovely old property with charm and character, but beyond the lobby the state of repair is poor, the treatment rooms are very shabby, the pools also are in need or renovation. Breakfast choices are rather poor, in Italy one expects much better breakfast. Often they ran out of things at breakfast and fruit choices are very limited and under ripe. It’s not a cheap hotel by any means, so value for money isn’t great atm. Shame. Could have been much better.

Alles ist extrem alt und Kleider kann Mann nicht in die Schränke einräumen. Es herrscht so ein unglaublicher Gestank, dass man seine Kleider nicht mehr tragen und anschliessend vernichten muss. Die Termen Alage im Aussenbereich ist jedoch das einzige Schmuckstück in diesem Hotel.

Esperienza positiva, hotel in ottima posizione, stanza un po vintage ma molto ampia, silenziosa e sufficientemente pulita, personale gentile, colazione e cena soddisfacenti piscine interna ed esterne ben tenute, ampio parco abitato da coniglietti ! Consigliato.
