This is a beautiful hotel with wonderful staff, unfortunately a leak from the top floor impacted our stay as we came back from a day of touring and our bathroom was flooded. An offer of a reduction in our stay or a credit at the cafeteria attached would have been nice. The maintenance staff were quick to respond and were very polite.

The hotel very close to the central station and the metro, which made it incredibly convenient for exploring Madrid. The room was comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside was the air conditioning, which wasn't working properly. Fortunately, it was windy during my stay, so I could open the window for some fresh air.

This was my second time in this hotel, so can only repeat my first review really - very helpful staff, excellent location (very close to Atocha rail station and several key underground stations). As I was out very early I did not book breakfast so cannot comment on that aspect. One footnote, though, and this is not a reflection on the hotel itself but worth knowing: this time round the room was on 5th floor and guests on both sides of my room had been making "conversation" loudly until almost 1AM - so make sure you pack ear plugs, but even with those I found it impossible to sleep until the "discussions" at insane volume died down (and in totally ignorant fashion - they were either hearing-impaired or just completely ignorant of being in a hotel...). It seems that even in 4-star hotel one can easily find people who behave as if they never stayed in a hotel.

Not good place, I wouldn’t recommend it, my room wasn’t made one day, the wi-do was cut off before I left and I had to go to a coffee shop to get a meeting done and I think the kitchen exhaust pumped into my room as I woke up everyday to the smell of onions and garlic in the room

The hotel is located close to the main train station and metro, so that helps to move around the city and to take the trains to other parts of the country. The check-in person could have been more pleasant - smile and greet your guests maybe, but the security guy always had a smile and that helped make us feel welcoming. Our room key cards didn't work on two occasions, but was fixed quickly. The hotel does show signs of wear and tear but the cleaning ladies did an excellent job to keep things tidy. I did leave a tip for the cleaning ladies each morning before stepping out, only to find that it was not picked up. Noticed this in Lisbon as well - not sure if this is a European thing. Overall, if you're traveling with teenagers (we had two), and you want them in the same room but separate beds, then this Hotel is a good choice. If not, I'm sure there are better options in the city
