my hope is that this hotel was actively working on improving the facilities. Outside of my window there was a rooftop that was filled with a bunch of trash bags and about 12 old dirty mattresses. Not the best view. Not sure I would go back, but I wouldn’t necessarily say it is a bad idea for someone on a budget.

The train station near is very convenient, around there is a lot of restaurants options. The staff are good with everything you need and also they cleaned the room every day. The only inconvenience was that the elevator was broken the last few days but changed us to another room in 2 floor.

Although there was a change in management in July 2026, they kept my reservation as is, so I was able to stay there. The room type I had paid for and secured at the time of booking had been changed, but they handled it flexibly. The renovations weren’t finished in time, so I couldn’t use the Wi-Fi, and half of the outlets in the room weren’t working, but that wasn’t a problem for the purpose of my stay. All the staff were kind. Once all the renovations are complete, it should be a great hotel, especially given its location.

I booked this hotel for the price, location and the availability on a week that many hotels charged high rates and/or sold out. I paid ~$900 for 5 days "Deluxe Double Room, 2 Queen Beds, Non Smoking". The room we checked into was tidy, has 2 queen beds, nightstands, mini fridge, microwave, electric kettle, paper/plastic cups & nescafe instant coffee tubes/creamer/sugar packs, 32" TV, a small table & chair. Bathroom is reasonable: few small cracks on floor tiles, good hot water, bath tub, soap & shampoo dispenser and the towels are clean & nice! But that room was small & did not have a closet to hang clothes. Bathroom door was misaligned very hard to close. Then the toilet keeps running. We reported to the front desk and the gentleman (Miller) arranged & moved us to another room, with clothes hanger rack! This room is spacious & comfortable and look more like the "Deluxe room" pictures I saw and booked for! There is no fridge nor microwave in this room but that's fine & I was happy with it. All the staff members (Adrika, Miller...etc.) are courteous & helpful. This hotel location is good, walking distance to all kinds of restaurants, food trucks, supermarkets, Tangram mall, LIRR (to Grand Central, Penn Station, Manhattan...) and also minutes away drive time to Botanical Garden, Billie Jean King Tennis center, Citi Field, Flushing Meadow Corona Park, Unisphere...etc. I am thankful with this stay. It would be even better if water & light breakfast are included.

My room was clean. The air conditioning was working the way it should. When it came to the TV channel l was trying to watch it but that channel wasn’t working properly, no big deal. I could watch it on my phone. It was my first time at this hotel, but my second time in this area and l like that the train station is close. which it’s the 7 train. Lots of shops near. Personally l just needed a place where to leave my bags( stuffs) and to lay my head down at the end of the day. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
