Awful. No shower curtain. Smoke detector not fully in place, and hanging by its own wiring.
My texts to the number posted at the front asdesk follow.
(1) Hello. I spent the night at the Norwood hotel in La Crosse. I tried to call, but no one answered, and I was unable to leave a message.
(2) I have checked out of my room. I am communicating with you to register a huge complaint.
(3) When I got ready to step into the shower, I realized that there was no shower curtain. I was appalled that this essential service was not in place.
(4) I also noticed that the smoke alarm was not fully installed, and was hanging by its own wires.
(5) I am a deeply dissatisfied customer, and I want to know what you are going to do about it. Please contact me this morning. Thank you.

Before check-in, the staff member had me review the room. When doing so, I failed to notice these problems, which I attribute to it being a very long day and to a confidence that nothing major would be overlooked or out of place. I take responsibility for not noticing these things, which have never been a concern in any other hotel at which I have stayed.
