This is an amazing looking property, that allegedly has 5 stars, however I would rate it as a 2 star. Reception desk was unmanned for 15 minutes at check in, then he arrived harassed, With little command of English. The room was large but tired, the bed was huge but uncomfortable with springs poking my back. The restaurant was full and couldn’t accommodate us and after travelling 1,000km from Spain we were not impressed. People in the room above us were partying until 3am. ( not the hotels fault but didn’t help) However they did provide a dog bowl for our family pooch in the room.

This is a wonderful hotel. Peaceful but convenient for beautiful Pau. I returned after two months and at breakfast the lovely staff remembered me. A good sign. Super dinner and breakfast. High quality everything!

Not a five-star hotel, or at least, not anymore. The carpet in the hallway is decades old and stained. And there were no pillow cases on two of our pillows.

Why do you advertise the hotel as a 5 star hotel ?

Definitely not 5 star , nobody at the door to welcome you, there is however a receptionist who was lovely , but what can she do when working for a hotel which needs a lot of TLC and staff. It looked like the gardener had been on a long holiday , carpets were extremely dirty throughout the hotel, and although we were upgraded to a suite after complaining about our room being in an annexe and not in the main house, the state of the suite was more 3 stars than 5 stars.
Where is the gardener ? A couple of chairs on a few pebbles, not even a small deck

The room would not even qualify for a 1 star motel. the advertised rooms were 'not available' to anyone. The place was filthy and the corridors to the rooms were appalling!!

Terrible!!!

It’s a terrible hotel for the price they charge. We were looking forward to staying there after a long drive and chill by the pool but the pool was not available. The rooms are old and felt like they were not updated for the last fifty years. There was no air conditioning and no fans available and no net on the windows! On a hot summer day it’s impossible to sleep. We’ve asked for something, anything they can provide for mosquito protection but they had nothing. Everytime we called the reception there was no reply and when we went down to speak to her, we found out that she was washing dishes in the restaurant. All around very uncomfortable hotel. Should be zero stars!

Sejour très décevant pour un hotel de ce standing. A l'arrivée, pas d'électricité dans la chambre et 20 min pour la remettrel. Le lendemain matin, le reassort du petit dejeuner n'etait plus fait avant la fin du service. Et le personnel se permet en plus de commentaires sur les consommations au petit dejeuner. En l'état, à fuir malgré un très joli cadre dans Pau !

cité comme un 5*. en fait c'est un 5* pour le site qui en jette, et un 2* pour toutes les prestations hôtelières. - vieillot, - très mal entretenu (toute la zone de la piscine par exemple), - air conditionné = 1 appareil pas dimensionné pour la pièce et faisant un boucan terrible, - ne cherchez pas à y dîner un dimanche soir, impossible, - pour la piscine 5 malheureux transats, pour les suivants étalez vos serviettes sur une partie herbeuse, ou sur le pourtour de la piscine, en briques plus ou moins cassées, -etc... tout est plus ou moins à l'avenant. peut-être est-ce un ancien bon hôtel qui a mal vieilli. Manifestement on y investit plus. bref à éviter.

Nous avions une très grande chambre avec avec vue sur les Pyrénées par contre elle manque d entretien Pas de prise électrique au niveau de la table de nuit Ma lampe de chevet ne fonctionnait pas Il manque une barre sur un volet .

Le petit déjeuner est correct mais pas d un niveau 4 étoiles L ensemble spa et piscine intérieurs sont tres beaux mais je suis sortie avec des plaques rouges au bout de 5mn dans la piscine donc mauvaise expérience et pas de chaussons de fournis. Assez moyen dans l ensemble.
