This was a good hotel. In and out is literally across the street and it’s within walking distance to the beach. The bathroom could use a better fan for taking showers but that was minor.

We stayed 4 nights. The beds were comfortable and we slept so good, housekeeping was great about new towels and tp restock. There is a washer and dryer on each floor. Needed a few dollars in quarters but so helpful when you are going to beach. Parking was convenient and its such a great location to easily hop on and off from I-5. Would absolutely stay again.

I've NEVER been told to hand over $200 CASH before getting a room I already paid for!! A $100 pre-auth or charge on a card is typical, but The Hotel Oceanside wanted us to hand over CASH before getting our key!! That's insane! I had to stand firm and say NO! After driving for hours, and with no reason other than their demand, I was not planning or agreeing to run to the bank to get $200 cash for incidentals! To top it off, they have an ATM in the lobby that they probably direct patrons to use to get cash (likely with ATM fees). The ATM was out of order, so no cash and no ATM fees, for Hotel Oceanside. They finally put a $200 charge on our credit card and let us have our keys. Other than that fiasco, the room was decent, roomy, and quiet and parking was included.

I didn’t know what to expect since I’m from the Bay Area and wasn’t too familiar with Oceanside, but I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, quiet, and very peaceful, which was exactly what I needed. The location is great and very close to downtown, restaurants, and the water. Jennifer was also incredibly helpful and accommodating, which made the stay even better. For the price, I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again.
